After having only released tapes
of bizarre sound collages so far
we, for the first time needed to
record our band songs as well
as the noise tapes were not
going to impress most live
bookers of venues in Sydney
in the mid 90s! It was a way
to try and play live more, pure
& simple.
We also had to record some songs
for Ernie who was due to help
record & mix our first c.d
'Hasnasznisznasz'and had only
ever heard our noise stuff also
& wasn't sure what he was in for.
Recorded in 1997 at a rehearsal space
(Troy Horse, who also helped with
the tape duplication) on a 4 track
with engineering help from:
Brad (Herdson) & Liz (Payne)
and then mixed down to master tape
by Juice.
All these songs are unreleased except
in limited tape format to a few
venue bookers, bands & mates.
tracks 1,3,4 & 5 were rerecorded
for 1999 cd Hasnasznisznasz
tracks 2,6,7 exclusive to this release.

Vocabularinist existed for over 10 years, based in Sydney and various locations of NSW. We played quite extensively live around the state with various bands.
We toured also to Victoria and Tasmania a few times along the way.
We recorded 5 'proper' band albums of songs and absolutely heaps of 4 track tapes and cdr's, splitting our sound between, rock, psychedelic jams, noise & whatever came. ... more
